Openload and its subsidiary services have been permanently shut down following the anti-piracy campaign by Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE). This has resulted in the shut down of various Openload domains, including the popular Streamango. It has also been reported that Openload has also agreed to pay a considerable amount of damages to the concerned parties.
Openload was one of the most popular sources for file-hosting. Over the years, it had become a haven to the storage space for tons of pirated video content. Apparently, the site had more traffic than the legit streaming platforms like HBO Go and Hulu.
Dozens of third-party streaming services sourced the streaming links from Openload and the associated domains. However, with the shutdown, the access has been permanently revoked.
Any attempt to access the Openload and other associated domains would lead to an error. You may even be redirected to the ACE website alliance4creativity.com.
With hundreds of servers in several countries and more than 60 million monthly users, Openload had been an eyesore for many copyright holders. Openload owners and ACE came to an arrangement, whereupon the file-hosting service agreed to take its service down and pay damages.
How does it affect our users?
Even though Openload shutdown is a setback, there are still several avenues for the users to explore.
Real Debrid is one of the best alternatives to Openload at this time. It is an inexpensive way to gain access to dozens of high-quality streams. Real Debrid generates premium streaming links and it has always worked better than Openload. Here is our guide on How to set up and use Real Debrid.
However, we encourage our users to appreciate the copyright laws and stream the content available only in the public domain.
While we do not condone copyright violations, we also understand the importance of user privacy. When such things happen, authorities are likely to get the users’ data. That is why I always use and recommend all my readers to invest in a good VPN. It will keep all your online activities private and you will never have to worry about what you were doing online. ExpressVPN is my top choice due to its military-grade privacy, super-fast speeds, and strong no-log policy. It also comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee in case you don’t like its service (which is highly unlikely). This 30-day money back also comes handy when you need a VPN for a short period. You can simply use it for free for 30-days and then get a refund.

Wrapping Up
Even though OpenLoad is not working, there are plenty of other streaming options. However, we cannot insist on our users enough to respect the copyright laws and stream the videos that have been made available for use in the public domain.
