Disney+ is set to be available on Amazon Fire TV and FireStick on its November 12, 2019, launch. Disney’s initial list of the devices on which Disney+ will be available did not include Amazon Fire TV. Roku, Apple TV, Android TV, are some of the devices that made it to the initial list.
It was reported that Disney and Amazon had certain disagreements over the terms of advertising. According to the Wall Street Journal, Amazon wanted a large percentage of the advertising space on the upcoming app, which Disney could not agree to. The clash has apparently been resolved as it is now confirmed that Disney+ will be available on all the Amazon Fire TV line of devices.
It is yet not sure what kind of agreement the two companies have come to. But, the good news is that Fire TV users will not be denied the entertainment opportunity offered by Disney+.
After Apple TV coming to Fire TV in October 2019, the upcoming Disney+ will be another welcome addition to the Amazon Store inventory for its streaming devices.
The Disney+ app will be compatible with the Alexa search function. Meaning, you will be able to give the voice command to Alexa to play movies and shows within the app. The discovery feature of Alexa will also include the content from Disney+.
Disney+ is one of the most anticipated upcoming streaming services. It is likely to feature many exciting originals, including the ones from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Amazon Fire TV is one of the most popular streaming services and it is good to see the popular streaming apps being available on it.
