Terrarium TV developers announced the end of days for this incredible app we had grown so fond of. It is a blow we are still dealing with. But, in the streaming world, an app getting discontinued isn’t something new. Many apps come into the spotlight, get popular, and one day they are taken down. Terrarium TV going down is a big loss for now, but I am confident we will find a way to move on.
Thankfully, there are many Terrarium TV alternatives you can use to watch your favorite episodes and movies. In this guide, we will learn to install Morpheus TV on FireStick / Fire TV / Fire TV Cube; one of the best Terrarium TV alternatives.
Morpheus TV is an on-demand app, quite like Terrarium TV. It boasts of an impressive media library and has some solid, high-quality scrapers to bring you the best streamable links. This lightweight app is easy on your FireStick resources, offers smooth performance, and has a user-friendly interface.
Disclaimer: Morpheus TV developer has announced the end of support for the app. When you run the app the first time after installation, you will see the Project Discontinued notice. However, it also says that you can stream the existing movies and shows as long as the scrapers are available.
Steps to Install Morpheus TV on FireStick
Morpheus TV takes only a few minutes to install on FireStick, Fire TV or Fire TV Cube. The first thing you must do is ensure Apps from Unknown Sources is switched ON in the device settings to accept the third-party APK of apps like Morpheus TV. Here are the steps:
1. Power on your FireStick and from the main-screen select Settings on the top.
2. When you see the following set of options, go ahead and open Device
3. Next, click Developer Options
4. If Apps from Unknown Sources is off, click it to turn it ON
You can now get started with the installation. Let me show you how.
Remember that you can’t download and sideload the APK files directly through a web browser on your FireStick as is the case with other Android devices. Therefore, you need an app that facilitates such a download.
Downloader is the best sideloading app for FireStick. So, go ahead and install Downloader on your device first. You can do that from the Amazon Store (by using the search function on the FireStick home-screen).
When you have Downloader, open it and follow the steps below:
Step 1: What you should now see is the Downloader home-screen with the Home tab on the left.
Click the URL field on the right
Step 2: Now, enter the following URL http://bit.ly/morp166 and click GO
Step 3: You will be redirected to the Browser section of the Downloader app where the following web page open. Scroll down and click DOWNLOAD MORPHEUS TV.APK button.
Step 4: Wait for the Morpheus TV APK to download on FireStick
Step 5: When the APK file has downloaded, Downloader app will initiate the installation on its own. Here is the next window you must see. Scroll down to the bottom right of this screen and hit Install
It will take about a minute for Morpheus TV to install on FireStick. When it’s done, App Installed notification is shown.
While you can run the Morpheus TV app straightaway from this window by clicking OPEN, I suggest you click DONE and go back to the Downloader interface to delete the Morpheus TV APK.
When the app is installed, APK file is not needed anymore. You can save some space by deleting it.
Click Delete again
You have successfully installed Morpheus TV on FireStick and also deleted the APK file.
Exploring Morpheus TV
Go ahead and open the app. If you don’t see it on the FireStick home-screen, go to Your Apps & Channels section. You will find the app there.
When you run the app for the first time after the installation, you are welcomed with the Project Discontinued message. As I have already stated, Morpheus TV app has been discontinued. But, this only means that no new scrapes and content will be added. As long as the existing scrapers are working, you can continue watching the currently available movies and shows.
The next window offers you a menu with the options Movies, TV Shows, Downloads and Settings.
When you click Movies, you see a new set of options: Trending, Popular, Search etc.
Go ahead and dig deeper by clicking any option of your choice. You will find all the movie titles Morpheus TV hosts here.
If you click TV Shows on the main screen of the app, the following menu appears.
Accessing Morpheus TV from FireStick Home-screen
You can always access your apps from the Your Apps & Channels area, which you can access by long pressing the Home button on your remote and then clicking Apps.
In the Your Apps & Channels section, you will notice that only the apps in the top rows appear on your home screen. The apps that have been recently installed are placed in the bottom row. So, they may not appear on the home screen.
If you want to move Morpheus TV onto the FireStick home-screen, here is what you can do:
- Select the Morpheus TV icon in the Your Apps & Channels
- Press the menu button on your FireStick remote. It is the button with three horizontal lines
- On the bottom right of your TV screen, you will now see a menu. Click Move and manually move the Morpheus TV icon into one of the top rows. Or, click Move to Front to place the icon in the first spot in the first row.
Morpheus TV is easily one of the most viable alternatives to Terrarium TV. This on-demand app brings to you your favorite movies and shows with just a few clicks of the buttons. I have found Morpheus TV faster than most other apps in the same category. It also fetches the links faster. Sadly, Morpheus TV has also been discontinued as its developer can no longer support it. But, the good thing is that it will continue to fetch the streams until the scrapers are available. I believe the app should be good for another few months.
