This guide shows you how to watch the TV App on FireStick. I will also include the steps to install the TV app Kodi addon. The instructions work for all Fire TV models, including FireStick Lite, FireStick 3rd Gen, FireStick 4K, FireStick 4K Max, and Fire TV Cube.
What’s The TV App?
The TV App is a third-party service that offers live TV programming and sports coverage. It was initially a Kodi addon but has since expanded to include a streaming website.
Sometimes stylized as The_TV_App, the service lets you stream over 100 live TV channels, including national and regional channels in entertainment, reality TV, sports, and lifestyle programming.
This app is a decent option for watching free live TV content on FireStick, from movies and TV shows to cooking, nature, real estate, reality TV, entertainment, business, news, and sports.
What I like about the TV App is the HD-quality content with minimal buffering. I also like that you can access popular TV channels at no cost.
The streaming service has also introduced a premium service called The TV Sub. It is a paid IPTV service that offers 5000 plus live TV channels and over 11,000 on-demand movies and shows. You can find the Premium Service yellow button at the top right corner of The_TV_App website.w
We will focus on the free service in this post.
There are two ways to access The TV App on FireStick: Via a browser and Kodi.
Attention, Kodi Users!
Kodi Addons and builds offer unlimited streaming content, but could also get you into legal trouble if caught streaming free movies, TV shows, or sports. Currently, your IP is visible to everyone. Kodi users are strongly advised to always connect to a VPN while streaming online. A good Kodi VPN hides your identity, bypasses government surveillance, geo-blocked content, and ISP throttling (which also helps in buffer-free streaming).
I personally use ExpressVPN, which is the fastest and most secure VPN. It is very easy to install on any device including Amazon FireStick. You get 3 months free and save 49% on its annual plans. Also, it comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied, you can always ask for a refund.

Is The TV App Safe & Legal?
As mentioned, the TV app includes an unofficial website and a third-party addon. That alone raises some safety concerns. Unofficial sites are prone to malware attacks. It is vital to practice caution when browsing on such sites.
I tested the TV App website URL on VirusTotal to check for suspicious files. Fortunately, no security vendor flagged the URL as malicious.
Another area where the TV App raises some red flags is legality. The service provides access to premium content at no cost.
FireStickTricks.com can’t verify this app’s legal standing. Several factors determine a streaming service’s legality, including licenses and agreements from content owners, the content source, and the copyright laws of a country.
I highly discourage streaming copyrighted content without the necessary permissions. I also recommend using a reliable VPN to hide your online activity. ExpressVPN is my go-to because of its incredible speed and military-grade encryption technology.

Note: FireStickTricks.com is not related to the developers of Diggz Repo. The URL redirects you to the page where the repo is located.
6. Select the Name tab and enter any name for your file. I am selecting diggz123.
7. When both the tabs are filled, press OK to add the file source to Kodi.
8. Navigate to the Add-ons section.
9. Select the Install from zip file tab.
10. Select the name you entered for the file source. I am selecting diggz123.
11. Next, tap on repository.diggz-xx.zip.
12. Wait for the Diggz Repository Add-on installed alert.
Part 3: Install The TV App
The last part of the installation covers getting The TV App add-on. The relevant repository is already installed on Kodi; hence, the process won’t take long. Follow these steps:
1. Select Install from repository via the Add-ons menu.
2. Select the Diggz Repository.
3. Scroll through the addons and select Video Addons.
4. Select The_TV_App on the list of video addons.

NOTE: We do not encourage the violation of copyright laws. But, what if you end up streaming content from an illegitimate source unintentionally? It is not always easy to tell the difference between a legit and illegal source.
