This guide will show you how to install the Xontech Build on Kodi 18.9 (and other versions of Kodi 18 Leia). This build works fine on Windows & Mac Computers, FireStick and other Fire TV Devices, Android TV Boxes, Android Mobiles and more.
As I write, Xontech is a fairly new Kodi build, but it looks promising. Therefore, I decided I should throw some spotlight on it and write a guide. I have also added it to our list of Best Kodi Builds.
Xontech is a straightforward build with a fluid navigation system and an easy to get used to the interface. The build offers several popular addons that come preinstalled with it. There are plenty of streaming categories on the main screen of the build to get started with streaming.
I won’t call this build lightweight but it worked smoothly on all the devices I tried it on including FireStick. It seems like a good build to try.
Kodi Addons / builds offer unlimited streaming content, but could also get you into legal trouble if caught streaming free Movies / TV shows / Sports. Kodi users are strongly advised to always connect a VPN while streaming online. A good Kodi VPN hides your identity, bypasses government surveillance, geo-blocked content, and ISP throttling (which also helps in buffer-free streaming).
I use ExpressVPN which is the fastest and most secure VPN. It is very easy to install on any device including Amazon FireStick. You get 3-months free and save 49% on its annual plans. Also, it comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied, you can always ask for a refund.

Install Xontech Build on Kodi
If you are going to install a third-party build like Xontech Build, you must have allowed the Unknown Sources in the Kodi Settings. If you haven’t done that already or don’t know how to do that, follow the steps below:
1- Open the Settings window from the main screen of Kodi. We click the gear icon for that in the upper-right corner
2- On the window that is displayed next, click System in the bottom right corner
If you use Kodi 17.6 Krypton, click System Settings
3- This window is now displayed. Select the menu entry Add-ons on the left side of the window
4- On the same window, go to the right part and click Unknown Sources switch to turn it ON
Only if you find it is disabled
5- Click Yes to dismiss this window. This warning message can be ignored because Xontech Kodi build is safe
This is how Kodi is configured to install the Xontech Build.

Installation Part of the Process
Now, this is the part where you will find the installation steps to get the Xontech build on Kodi. Follow each step carefully. It will take a few minutes to install the build. Here we go:
1- We open the Kodi Settings again from the main screen
2- Next, we open the item File manager
3- On the window that follows, click Add source
4- You now see this small window. Click where it reads <None>
5- You are now required to provide the source path on this screen. Enter the following link carefully: http://teamfalcon.exposed/wizard
I say ‘carefully’ because it is not uncommon to make a mistake while typing the URL
Click OK
6- When the source link has been added, we must add the source name too. You may name it whatever you like. But, making the name relevant to the source makes sure you could identify it later
Let’s go with TF
Click OK
7- If you are using Kodi 18, you may simply press the back button once to go back to the Settings menu (or you may click Settings from the home screen of Kodi again)
If you use Kodi 17.6, go back to the home screen and click Add-ons on the left side
8- Kodi 18 users may now click Add-ons on the following window (check the image below)
Kodi 17.6 users must select open-box icon in the top-left corner of the next screen
9- Open Install from zip file
10- You must now see the source name that you added earlier. Click it
It is TF in this guide
11- Now click the file plugin.program.teamfalcon.zip
This starts installing the Team Falcon Wizard
12- The Team Falcon Add-on installed notification appears on your display in a minute or so
13- Within a second, you will also see this prompt. You could press choose some options here and click Continue or simply press the back button to dismiss the prompt
14- The Build Menu button will lead you to the list of the Team Falcon Wizard builds. However, just in case you pressed the back button or want to install the build later, let me show you how to navigate to the build menu from the main screen of Kodi. I am clicking Ignore
15- Now go to the main screen of Kodi and follow the path Add-ons > Program add-ons
Click Team Falcon Wizard icon
16- Go ahead and click Builds
17- If you clicked Build Menu button in Step 14, this is the window you are redirected to.
Select and click Xontech Leia build from the list.
18- Go ahead and click Fresh Install (recommended) if you want to clear all the Kodi data before installing the Xontech Build
If you wish to retain some of your settings and addons, click Standard Install. Please note that not all your Kodi data will be retained. This is why, I recommend Fresh Install.
19- Go ahead and click Continue to allow the Falcon Wizard to erase all the Kodi data before installing the build (appears only when you chose Fresh Install)
20- Now simply wait while the Xontech Kodi build gets downloaded and installed on your device. It usually takes a few minutes
21- You may be prompted to click the Force Close option to exit Kodi to finalize the installation of the build. If you don’t see such a prompt, it means Kodi force closed itself
Go ahead and restart Kodi to start using the Xontech Build.
Before you start streaming with Kodi Addons / Builds, I would like to warn you that everything you stream on Kodi is visible to your ISP and Government. This means, streaming copyrighted content (free movies, TV shows, Sports) might get you into legal trouble.
Kodi users are strongly advised to connect a VPN while streaming. A VPN for Kodi will bypass ISP throttling, Government Surveillance, and geo-restriction on popular Add-ons. I always connect ExpressVPN on all my streaming devices and I suggest you do the same.
ExpressVPN is the fastest and most secure VPN. It comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Meaning, you can use it freely for the first 30-days and if you are not satisfied with the performance (which is highly unlikely), you can ask for the full refund.
NOTE: We do not encourage the violation of the copyright laws. But, what if you end up streaming content from an illegitimate source unintentionally? It is not always easy to tell the difference between a legit and illegal source.
So, before you start streaming on Kodi, here's how to get VPN protection in 3 simple steps.
Step 1: Get the ExpressVPN subscription HERE.
Step 2: Click HERE to download and install the ExpressVPN app on your device.
Step 3: Click the Power icon to connect a VPN server. That's all. Your connection is now secure with the fastest and best VPN for Kodi.
How to Use Xontech Kodi Build: A Quick Rundown
As I said, Xontech Build is activated when you reopen Kodi after the installation. The build may take a few minutes on the first run. That’s because it updates the addons, skin, and settings. Make sure all the updates have finished before you start using the build.
You must now see the following home screen of Kodi with the build. It is clearly a big upgrade from the default interface
The layout of the build is fairly standard, something that you see regularly among the top Kodi builds. There is the home menu with its submenus. If you have selected any item related to streaming in the home menu, the related addons are displayed on the bottom of the screen
Xontech Kodi build has multiple streaming menu items on the home screen including Movies, Shows, Kids, Music, Live TV, Sport, 3D-4K, A-Team.
Also, when you select a streaming category in the home menu, the suggested content is displayed on the top.
Xontech Kodi build offers a decent range of Kodi video addons including DeathStar, Yoda, cCloud TV, The Magic Dragon, SportsDevil, and more.
Most of these addons are already part of our list of Best Kodi Addons.
You may choose the streaming content from the main screen or navigate to System > Your Addons to stream through individual addons.
Verdict
Xontech Kodi Build is a great option for those who are looking for a moderately-sized build with a decent collection of Kodi addons. Even though Xontech is not exactly a lightweight build, it worked fine on my low-spec devices FireStick and Android TV Boxes.
There are plenty of preinstalled addons to stream all sorts of content including Movies, Shows, Sports, Live TV, Kids’ stuff and more.
The interface of Xontech build is uncomplicated. I found it quite easy to use. The fonts are legible and the menu system is straightforward. I don’t see any reason why you wouldn’t want to give it a try.
