Lobo is one of the newer Kodi builds and is the part of the One Nation Repository. One Nation is one of the most popular sources for builds these days. It has several builds for both Kodi Krypton and Kodi Leia.
With sections for TV Shows, Movies, Live TV, Sports, Kids, etc. Lobo Kodi build packs everything you could need to stream your favorite content. It comes preloaded with some popular addons like Yoda, Exodus Redux, and many more.
Lobo build has been making its presence felt in the Kodi community off late. When I learned about this build, I decided to give it a try. And, after having tried it, I felt I must share it with you. So, here I am with the detailed installation instructions.
Update: Lobo Build is no longer available as the One Nation Portal repository is down. Try one of the other builds from the list of Best Builds for Kodi in 2019
How to Install Lobo Build on Kodi
Lobo is a third-party Kodi build. The default security setting of Kodi prevents installation of third-party builds for security purposes. But, that is for the malicious programs. Lobo is a trusted, tested build. To install this build, follow the steps and change the security setting:
#1 Click the Settings option on the home-screen of Kodi (click the cog icon on the top left)
#2 Choose System settings.
#3 Click or select the Add-ons menu item on the left
#4 Navigate to the right part of the window and click Unknown Sources (if this option is disabled)
#5 Kodi will warn you about the risks of enabling Unknown Sources and ask for your confirmation. Click Yes
With this setting taken care of, you are ready to install Lobo build on Kodi (in fact, now you can install any third-party addon on build).
Step by Step Installation Instructions
The installation of Lobo build is a 4-part process as follows:
Part 1: Add the One Nation Portal Source
Part 2: Install the One Nation Repo
Part 3: Install One Nation Portal Addon
Part 4: Install Lobo Kodi Build from the One Nation Portal Build menu
The following steps cover each part one by one. Here is how it goes:
#1 Go to Kodi home-screen
#2 Open Settings one more time
#3 Open File manager from the following list of options
#4 Click Add source (on either side of the window)
#5 A small window will now pop up. Click where you see the option <None>
#6 Use the onscreen keyboard that appears next and carefully type in the following path in the empty space on the top: http://www.onenation.info/Repo/
#7 You will be back to the previous window. Highlight the section Enter a name for this media source and type any name you wish to identify the above source URL with. For instance, I am picking the name OneNation
You have successfully added the source and taken care of Part 1 of the process. Now we install the One Nation Repo
#8 Go back to the Kodi home-screen
#9 Open the menu item Add-ons on the left
#10 Now go to the top-left and click the box icon to open the Package Installer
#11 Open OneNation (or any other source name you may have added previously)
#12 Open the zip file repository.onenation-1.0.5.zip
Note: You may see a different version number of the zip file if it is updated in the future. Click the file with the new version in that case.
#13 Wait for the notification OneNation Repo Add-on installed. It will be displayed in the top-right corner of the window
This installs the OneNation Repo (Part 2). We will now install the One Nation Portal add-on (Part 3)
#14 Stay on the same window and click Install from repository
#15 Open OneNation Repo
#16 Click Program Add-ons
#17 Open One Nation Portal
#18 Click Install on the following window
#19 Wait for the One Nation Portal Add-on installed confirmation message, which will appear on the top-right. The add-on installation progress is displayed on the screen
#20 You may now see some popups. You need to get rid of them. Click Continue when you see this popup (before clicking Continue, you may select any settings you wish to enable)
#21 The next popup has the Build Menu button. Click it to go to the build menu of One Nation Portal and skip to step 25. If you clicked Ignore, you may navigate to the build menu from the Kodi home-screen.
One Nation Portal addon has been installed. The following steps cover Part 4 of the process – installing Lobo Kodi build
#22 Press the back button repeatedly and go to the home-screen of Kodi
#23 Navigate to Add-ons > Program add-ons and open One Nation Portal
#24 Click (OneNation Portal) Builds
#25 Scroll down and click Lobo Build
#26 Click Fresh Install
Note: You may also select Standard Install but I have seen that the builds perform better when you clean out all the Kodi data and install them fresh. Also, there is no guarantee that choosing Standard Install will retain any existing data.
#27 Kodi will need your confirmation before erasing all the data and installing the build. Click Continue
#28 Wait while the Lobo Kodi build is downloaded and installed. This may take several minutes depending upon the device platform, device specs, and internet speed.
#29 When the build is installed, Kodi will ask whether you would like to Reload Profile or Force Close the app.
Reloading the profile often crashes Kodi anyway. Click Force Close
That will be all. You have successfully installed Lobo build on Kodi. Rerun the Kodi app and it will load with the new build.
Before you start streaming with Kodi Addons or Builds, I would like to warn you that everything you stream on Kodi is visible to your ISP and Government. This means, streaming copyrighted content (free movies, TV shows, live TV, and Sports) might get you into legal trouble.
Thankfully, there is a foolproof way to keep all your streaming activities hidden from your ISP and the Government. All you need is a good VPN for Kodi. A VPN will mask your original IP which is and will help you bypass Online Surveillance, ISP throttling, and content geo-restrictions.
I personally use and recommend ExpressVPN, which is the fastest and most secure VPN. It is compatible with all kinds of streaming apps and devices.
NOTE: We do not encourage the violation of copyright laws. But, what if you end up streaming content from an illegitimate source unintentionally? It is not always easy to tell the difference between a legit and illegal source.
So, before you start streaming on Kodi, here's how to get VPN protection in 3 simple steps.
Step 1: Get the ExpressVPN subscription HERE. It comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Meaning, you can use it free for the first 30-days and if you are not satisfied with the performance (which is highly unlikely), you can ask for a full refund.
Step 2: Click HERE to download and install the ExpressVPN app on your streaming device. If you are using a FireStick, I have given the exact steps starting with Step 4 below.
Step 3: Click the Power icon to connect to a VPN server. That's all. Your connection is now secure with the fastest and best VPN for Kodi.
The following are the steps to install Kodi VPN on your Fire TV devices. If you have other streaming devices, follow Step 1-3 above.
Step 4: Subscribe to ExpressVPN HERE (if not subscribed already).
Step 5: Go to Fire TV Stick home screen. Click Find followed by Search option (see image below).
Step 6: Type Expressvpn in the search bar and select when it shows up.
Step 7: Click Download.
Step 8: Open the ExpressVPN app and Sign in using the email ID and password that you created while buying the ExpressVPN subscription.
Step 9: Click the Power icon to connect to a VPN server. That’s all. Your FireStick is now secured with the fastest VPN.

Quick Overview of Lobo Kodi Build
Even though the interface isn’t the greatest, I still like this build as the pros clearly outweigh the cons. And, since the build runs smoothly and almost error-free, there is absolutely no harm in trying it.
This is how the home-screen of the build looks like:
Here is the list of the items in the menu bar:
- Live Sports
- The Tube
- Kids Only
- All in One
- Add Ons
As can see in the image above, only one menu item appears on the home-screen at a time.
As I said, there are plenty of decent addons for all kinds of content. Exodus Redux, Yoda, and other video addons on the inventory will get you started streaming right away.
I have laid out the pros and cons of Lobo build on Kodi before you. I believe this build is a good option to try. Addons are the most important aspect of any Kodi build and Lobo offers some good ones. The build is small in size. Therefore, you can run it on just about any Kodi supported platform you like. I tested the build on my FireStick and don’t remember registering any performance issues. Go ahead and give it a shot.
