We will use the Downloader app to install a third-party app store, APKTime. Then, we will install TeaTV from APKTime. Presently, only APKTime has a version that isn’t getting blocked on FireStick by Amazon.
We will also install TPlayer from APKTime. TPlayer is essential because it is the only media player that works with TeaTV.
Let me start by providing a quick guide to installing and configuring Downloader on FireStick.
1. Go to Find > Search from the home screen of FireStick. Look up “Downloader” and follow the on-screen instructions to install it.
2. Go to FireStick Settings > My Fire TV > Developer Options.
You will see one of the following options, depending on your Fire OS version:
- Fire OS 7 and newer: Install Unknown Apps → select Downloader and enable it.
- Fire OS 6 and older: Apps from Unknown Sources → turn it On.
3. Click and enable Downloader.
4. Open Downloader and click the textbox or URL field on the home screen.
5. Type the Downloader code 1312002.

6. Click Install when prompted.
7. Click DONE once the installation is finished. Don’t open APKTime yet. We need to set it up for sideloading like Downloader. If you are using Android TV or Google TV, you will be prompted to enable APKTime during installation.
8. Go to Settings > My Fire TV.
9. Click Developer Options.
10. Click Install Unknown Apps (or turn ON Apps from Unknown Sources on older FireOS versions).
11. Select and click APKTime to enable it.
12. Go back to FireStick home screen and click the app library icon.
13. Open APKTime.
14. Click the search icon in the top-right corner.
15. Search for TeaTV by its name.
15. Click the Download button for the 11.1.5r [Ad Free] version.
16. Wait for the download to finish.
17. Click Install when prompted.
18. Click Done to go back to APKTime and install TPlayer (Again, TPlayer is a mandatory app. TeaTV will not work without it).
19. Scroll down and click the Download button for TPlayer (if you can’t see it, use the search option to find it).
20. Click Install when this window appears.
21. Click DONE when the installation is complete.
You have successfully installed the unblocked version of TeaTV.
Tea TV Setup & Integrations
Let me show you how to access TeaTV and set it up for the first time. Later, I share the steps to integrate Debrid services and Trakt.
- Click the app-library icon on the FireStick home screen (or a similar icon on your Android TV).
- Open TeaTV
- First-time users will encounter some prompts. On the first prompt, click Allow.
- If you are prompted to update, click Cancel. Amazon will block the updated version. If there is a future version that bypasses the block, I will let you know.
- Choose your preferred Subtitle language.
- Click Accept when this prompt is displayed.
Integrate a Debrid Service
TeaTV has free streams. However, the free links are often unreliable and prone to buffering. Therefore, using a debrid service is recommended.
TeaTV supports Real Debrid, All-Debrid, and Premiumize. Real Debrid is the most popular, and I will use it for demonstration in the following steps.
1. Go to real-debrid.com to buy the subscription (starting from $4/mo) if you don’t have it already. Then, select the Four Square icon in the top-left corner of the Tea TV home screen.
2. Click Settings.
3. Click Login to Real-Debrid.
4. Go to real-debrid.com/device and enter the code displayed on the screen.
How to Connect Trakt with Tea TV
Trakt helps you keep track of the content you watch. It also lets you maintain a library of watched shows, get personalized content recommendations, and sync your media library across multiple devices.
1. Go to TeaTV Settings and click Login to Trakt.tv.
2. A code is displayed on the screen. Go to https://trakt.tv/activate and enter the code to authorize Trakt integration.
How to Use TeaTV
This is what the home screen looks like. Click the menu icon in the top-left corner to view the app categories.
The categories include Discover, Movies, Live Soccer App, TV Shows, HD Releases, Calendar, and Live TV.
Click the Movies category to view available titles. The titles are organized into sections, including Popular, Top-Rated, Upcoming, and Now Playing.
Click TV Shows to see the available TV series. The section is divided into subsections, such as Popular, Top-Rated, Airing Today, and On the Air.
Other categories to explore include Calendar, Category, Watchlist, Collection, Recent, and Download Manager.
The Filter option enables you to explore a wider range of genres and categories.
You can set filters, such as selecting by title, year, or All, and more.
You can also use the Search function in the top-right corner to find anything you want to watch.
Search by name, artist, director, and more to find TV shows and episodes.

My Tea TV has updated several times and now the app appears 3 times in my apps list. Every time I open Tea TV I get a notification that says I need to uninstall the older versions of Tea TV. If I uninstall the older versions, will that also uninstall the newest version? I really don’t want to go through the rigamarole of re-installing this app. I use it daily.

Juat bought fire cube 4k and when I downloaded teatv, it just freezes my screen every 20 seconds until I delete the app, which is hard when its freezing every 2 seconds. And help would be appreciated. Again it does not even begin to load teatv it just goes black and freezes that way.

Teatv update 9.7 seems to have bugs and links not ready apart from some do work but plastered with adverts all over the movie every minute for gambling ads. Uninstalled and reinstalled earlier version but it won’t let me continue without installing update v9.7 which is crap. Any tips? Won’t let me choose cancel or coninue unless I install latest version.
