In this post, you will find step-by-step instructions to install the Base 19 Kodi addon. However, you may use the same installation steps on any device compatible with Kodi, including Android TV, Mobiles, Computers, Raspberry Pi, and more.
What is Base 19 Kodi Addon?
Base 19 is a Kodi addon from The Crew Repo. It provides on-demand films and shows. The Crew Repo is a popular repository that also offers one of the most widely used Kodi addons, The Crew.
This addon may feature recently released and old films and episodes. The Base 19 addon works best with a debrid service, such as Real-Debrid, Premiumize, or All Debrid.
Real Debrid is the most recommended of all. Base 19 has a simple interface and offers quality streams. For these reasons, it has been added to our Best Addons for Kodi list.
Attention, Kodi Users!
Kodi Addons and builds offer unlimited streaming content, but could also get you into legal trouble if caught streaming free movies, TV shows, or sports. Currently, your IP is visible to everyone. Kodi users are strongly advised to always connect to a VPN while streaming online. A good Kodi VPN hides your identity, bypasses government surveillance, geo-blocked content, and ISP throttling (which also helps in buffer-free streaming).
I personally use ExpressVPN, which is the fastest and most secure VPN. It is very easy to install on any device including Amazon FireStick. You get 3 months free and save 49% on its annual plans. Also, it comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied, you can always ask for a refund.

Is Base 19 Safe & Legal?
Base 19 addon is hosted on The Crew Repo, an unofficial or third-party repository. Hence, we cannot guarantee whether or not Base 19 is truly safe. However, I have used the Base 19 addon for some time and The Crew addon for quite some time. They have never caused any trouble. They did not download malicious software, adware, or viruses into my device.
I also ran the repository source URL through a web-based antivirus. The antivirus found nothing suspicious and raised no flags. So, it may be safe to assume that the Base 19 addon is harmless. Here is the screenshot:
Regarding the legality of the Base 19 addon, it is beyond our scope to verify if it has the distribution licenses for the videos it provides.
Using a Kodi VPN with Base 19 or any other third-party addon is best to avoid legal troubles.
How to Install Base 19 Addon on Kodi
To install third-party Kodi addons like Base 19, you must add the source and install the repository. This process has several steps. The instructions are easy. However, to simplify the process, I have divided it into three parts:

Kodi restricts the installation of third-party or unofficial addons for security purposes. To allow Kodi to install Base 19, we need to change a setting called Unknown Sources. This is how you do it:

Before you start streaming with Kodi Addons or Builds, I would like to warn you that everything you stream on Kodi is visible to your ISP and Government. This means, streaming copyrighted content (free movies, TV shows, live TV, and Sports) might get you into legal trouble.
Thankfully, there is a foolproof way to keep all your streaming activities hidden from your ISP and the Government. All you need is a good VPN for Kodi. A VPN will mask your original IP which is and will help you bypass Online Surveillance, ISP throttling, and content geo-restrictions.
I personally use and recommend ExpressVPN, which is the fastest and most secure VPN. It is compatible with all kinds of streaming apps and devices.
NOTE: We do not encourage the violation of copyright laws. But, what if you end up streaming content from an illegitimate source unintentionally? It is not always easy to tell the difference between a legit and illegal source.
