In this guide, I will show you how to install and use FileLinked on FireStick. I will also provide the instructions to sign up for the FileLinked service and download the files using this app. The same guide will work for all Amazon Fire TV versions including Fire TV Cube, Firestick Lite, and Fire Stick 4K.
FileLinked was formerly known as DroidAdmin. It is a file-sharing app, which also doubles as an excellent side-loading tool for Amazon FireStick and other Android devices. FileLinked can be used to share all sorts of files including videos, photos, music, APK files, and more. You can be the file uploader, file user, or even both.
For instance, if you are out on a vacation and wish to privately share your photos, you can upload the files, create a code, and share the code with your friends or family. Those who have your code can install the FileLinked app on their Android device, enter the code, and access or download the files.
If you are looking to sideload apps onto your FireStick device, FileLinked could come in very handy. All you need to do is obtain the Filelinked codes from the uploader and enter it into your FileLinked app. On the other hand, if you are an uploader (like me) you can share the code with your users (like you) and give them the opportunity to easily download the files.
Whether you are an uploader or user, you will find all the information and instructions in this guide to get started with FileLinked. Keep reading!
Attention, FireStick Users!
Governments and ISPs constantly monitor your online activity, and accessing copyrighted content on your Fire TV Stick could lead to serious trouble. Currently, your IP is visible to everyone. I strongly recommend getting the best FireStick VPN to mask your IP address and securely stream your favorites.
I personally use ExpressVPN, the fastest and most secure VPN available. Not only is it easy to install on any device, it comes with a risk-free 30-day money-back guarantee. Plus, if you're not 100% satisfied, you can always get a refund. ExpressVPN is currently also offering a whopping 3 extra months free on their annual plan!

How to Install FileLinked on FireStick
There are two apps I recommend you could use to install any third-party apps on FireStick:
- Downloader
- ES File Explorer
Both these apps are available on the Amazon Store and it takes only minutes to install them on FireStick. However, please note that ES File Explorer is no longer free. To sideload apps, you will need to pay $9.99 per month.
I am going to show the installation process using both apps one by one. You can pick any one of the two you like.
Get FileLinked on FireStick via Downloader

12. You must now see the following prompt on the Downloader window. Click Delete to delete the FileLinked APK file, which is no longer needed.
13. Click Delete again.
You have successfully installed the FileLinked app on FireStick using Downloader. You can run the app from the My Apps & Channels section.
Now you can start downloading apps on your FireStick using Filelinked codes. All you have to do is open the Filelinked app, enter the Filelinked code, and start installing the desired apps. I have covered detailed guidelines on how to use the Filelinked app in the next sections of this article. But before that, I would like to bring your notice to something important.
Before you start streaming with free or low-cost streaming services, I would like to warn you that everything you stream online is visible to your ISP and Government. This means, streaming free movies, TV shows, Sports might get you into legal trouble.
Thankfully, there is a foolproof way to keep all your streaming activities hidden from your ISP and the Government. All you need is a good VPN for Fire Stick. A VPN will mask your original IP which is and will help you bypass Online Surveillance, ISP throttling, and content geo-restrictions.
I personally use and recommend ExpressVPN, which is the fastest and most secure VPN. It is compatible with all kinds of streaming apps and is very easy to install on Fire TV / Stick.
We do not encourage the violation of copyright laws. But, what if you end up streaming content from an illegitimate source unintentionally? It is not always easy to tell the difference between a legit and illegal source.
So, before you start streaming on your Fire Stick / Fire TV, let’s see how to use ExpressVPN to keep your streaming activities hidden from prying eyes.
Step 1: Subscribe to ExpressVPN HERE. It comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Meaning, you can use it free for the first 30-days and if you are not satisfied with the performance (which is highly unlikely), you can ask for a full refund.
Step 2: Power ON your Fire TV Stick and go to Find followed by Search option.
Step 3: Now type “Expressvpn” (without quotes) in the search bar and select ExpressVPN when it shows up in the search results.
Step 4: Click Download to install the ExpressVPN app on Fire TV / Stick.
Step 5: Open the app and enter the login credentials that you created while buying the ExpressVPN subscription. Click Sign in.
Step 6: Click the Power icon to connect to a VPN server. That’s all. Your connection is now secure with the fastest and best VPN for FireStick.
You can also read more detailed info on using ExpressVPN with Fire TV / Stick.
Install FileLinked on FireStick Using ES File Explorer
Note: This is just an alternate method. You don’t need to follow the steps if you have already downloaded Filelinked via the Downloader app. Also, ES File Explorer now costs $9.99 if you want to use its sideloading feature. You can directly go to the next section where I will show you how to use the Filelinked app.
ES File Explorer is another app widely used to sideload apps on FireStick and other Android devices. But, ES Explorer is not just a sideloader. It is also an incredible File Manager.
Go ahead and install ES File Explorer from the Amazon Store (by selecting the search option on the FireStick home-screen and typing in the name of the app).
Once that’s done, follow the steps below to install FileLinked on FireStick using ES File Explorer:
1. Launch the ES File Explorer app
2. On the right side of the home-screen of ES File Explorer, where you see a bunch of icons, scroll down and click Downloader
3. Now go to the bottom of the screen and click +New

6. When the download is finished, click Open file
7. Next, click Install when you see this prompt on the ES File Explorer window
8. Again, click Install when the following screen appears
9. Wait for the FileLinked app to install on FireStick. App Installed notification appears when it is done
10. Click Open to run the app right away. You may also click Done and run the app later
This is how you install FileLinked on FireStick using the ES File Explorer app.
Note: I recommend deleting the FileLinked APK when the app is installed. This will save you some space. Click the Local dropdown on the left of ES File Explorer and then click Home (the second one on the dropdown list). Now go to the right and open the Download folder. You will find the APK file here. Delete it.

4. Enter the Name of the configuration and an optional Description that describes the configuration you have created.
If you want a custom message to be displayed every time the code is entered, you can set that by clicking the toggle

Well, this is how you add and upload the files to the FileLinked service. We will now learn how to access these files on your FireStick.
Wrapping Up
FileLinked is a great way to share files. It is also a wonderful way to sideload apps on your FireStick (or any other Android device). As I have stated multiple times, if all you are looking for is download files, simply install FileLinked on FireStick and enter the configuration code.
FileLinked can be used alongside Downloader and ES File Explorer as a sideloading app. The best thing about this app is that you don’t need to enter any long URLs. You just need to enter a numeric code. How do you like this app? Feel free to share your thoughts with us via the comments section below.

I have tried all the codes on on this page with my VPN on and with it off. Nothing works. I also went to the URL to register for a filelinked account and the page is not found. I used to get emails from filelinked all the time but not lately. When filelinked is fixed will I be notified?
Max says
Hi Harold, Filelinked is no longer working. Here is our post on it: https://www.firesticktricks.com/filelinked-alternatives.html
Brittney says
This is what mines is doing also , can you tell me what you done to get it back going?
Max says
Hi Brittney, what exactly is the issue you are experiencing?
Mel says
I ran into this today after everything working perfectly only two days ago. What I found is that when I connected to my VPN filelinked worked perfect. When it is disconnected it gave me the “no internet connection” notice. It is as if my local server is blocking access for filelinked. Not sure if this is true but using my VPN got rid of the issue.

Carlos De Velasco says
What happens to the apks downloaded through filelinked after you install them? Can you/How do you delete them?
Max says
Hi Carlos, you could use ES File Explorer to remove APK files. You will find the files in the Download > Filelinked folder. Here is the section in the ES File Explorer guide that would help: https://www.firesticktricks.com/es-file-explorer.html#Clean_up_FireStick_storage_using_ES_File_Explorer
Vera says
I have uninstalled and reinstalled filelinked several times now, but i am stuck in a loop and then says no internet access. All of my other apps work just fine. I have seen others with the same problem, only started a few weeks ago doing this. Do you have any idea on how to solve this problem?
Patrick says
Hi Vera, it seems to be working fine. I just installed it on my FireStick. I could even download an APK. It is likely the FileLinked code you are using is no longer functional. Use the code 54780130 we have provided in this guide and let me know if it works
Nathan Smith says
Do you have a URL for SportsHD APK (live sports hd) to enter in filelinked. I cannot find one. I can only use the web url of worldcupfootball.me Thanks

Hi Nathan, no we don’t have one. Sports HD is not one of our recommended apps
