In this article, I will guide you on how to install the SportHD addon on Kodi. It is compatible with Kodi 20 Nexus and 19 Matrix. This method works with all Kodi-compatible devices, including Amazon FireStick, NVIDIA SHIELD, Android TV boxes, PCs, and smartphones. But before we begin, let’s get some clarity on the addon and its safety.
Watching live sports is not restricted to TV anymore, thanks to technological advancements. Currently, people across the globe can watch live sports online from hundreds of live streaming services for free. Finding a reliable service among the sea of options is undoubtedly a tough task. Luckily, during my hunt for the best free sports streaming site, I found a reliable addon that livestreams almost every sport, from football to chess. And that addon is SportHD.
What Is SportHD?
SportHD is a Kodi addon that lets you watch live sports events by scraping streams from popular sports streaming websites. The SportHD Kodi addon is created by the same developer who developed Sports 365. This Kodi addon is available in the Bugatsinho repository, which also houses Cartoon Network addons.
Attention, Kodi Users!
Kodi Addons and builds offer unlimited streaming content, but could also get you into legal trouble if caught streaming free movies, TV shows, or sports. Currently, your IP is visible to everyone. Kodi users are strongly advised to always connect to a VPN while streaming online. A good Kodi VPN hides your identity, bypasses government surveillance, geo-blocked content, and ISP throttling (which also helps in buffer-free streaming).
I personally use ExpressVPN, which is the fastest and most secure VPN. It is very easy to install on any device including Amazon FireStick. You get 3 months free and save 49% on its annual plans. Also, it comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied, you can always ask for a refund.

Moreover, I always recommend connecting to a trusted VPN service like ExpressVPN to maintain your online privacy. ExpressVPN offers 160 server locations in 94 countries around the world. It lets you bypass geo-restriction safely, increases your security and privacy, and offers 24/7 customer service.
I ran a safety check on the Bugatsinho repository URL using VirusTotal.com. As you can see, it is safe to download and install the repository.

How to Use SportHD Kodi Addon
Select the SportHD Kodi addon to launch it! On the home screen, you have five sections:
- LIVE EVENTS
- SPORTS
- BEST LEAGUES
- Settings
- Version 0.1.10 (it could differ for you)
Under the LIVE EVENTS section, you can catch up on live streams of various sports, from football to basketball to rugby. It lists all the available and scheduled matches. As you can see from the screenshot below, there are a bunch of games scheduled, and a couple of live streams are underway (represented by green asterisks).
All you need to do is to select the game, choose the stream link, and enjoy!
The addon provides information about games, including the sport name, the time, and the teams playing. You can also filter the list of matches by leagues or sports.
Inside the SPORTS section, live streaming links are categorized according to the sport. Here, you get a long list of sports starting with football and basketball and ending in snooker and chess. Streaming links become available right before the games start.
You can livestream matches from various leagues in the BEST LEAGUES section.
Inside Settings, you get the option to change your time zone, and that’s pretty much it. No video or audio configuration is available. But you do need to set your time zone to get the right time for live events.
How to Enable RTMP in Kodi
If you come across any problems or errors with streaming links, it’s time for you to enable RTMP (Real-Time Messaging Protocol). It is a proprietary network protocol used to transmit audio, video, and other data over the internet from a media server to a flash player. Some sources from the SportHD addon use this protocol, so we need to install it for a smooth streaming experience.
1. From the Kodi home screen, click the gear icon to open settings.
2. Select Add-ons.
3. Click on Install from repository.
4. Scroll down and select the Kodi Add-on repository.
5. Locate VideoPlayer InputStream and click it.
6. Click RTMP Input.
7. Click Install.
8. Wait for few seconds. You will get a message notifying you that RTMP Input is installed.
