To do this, tap the hamburger icon in the top-left corner of the home screen, then select Taskmanager. Now you will see the list of apps and files running in the background. Tap on the app or file you want to close and click OK. 

From Taskmanager, you can also take screenshots and record videos of your Fire TV interface. To take a screenshot, tap on the camera icon as highlighted below, then click OK on the confirmation prompt.
