This guide explains the step-by-step process to install Ocean Streamz on FireStick. You can use these instructions for any Amazon Fire TV product, including Fire TV Cube, FireStick Lite, and FireStick 4K, as well as Android TV boxes and other Android devices. First, let’s see what the Ocean Streamz app can do, and then I’ll explain how to install it.
Motion pictures have been one of the best forms of entertainment across geographies and generations. No wonder people save up money to experience it in theaters. But now, streaming services have become more popular due to affordability, accessibility, and, of course, the pandemic.
Whether you want movies, TV shows, or something entirely different, you can find a great selection of content for free or for a subscription fee.
Streaming services like Netflix and Hulu have announced price hikes in 2021, which is not great from the users’ point of view. These services are supposed to be the cheaper alternative to cable. But what can I say? Other than unsubscribing, you can’t do much about it.
If you do unsubscribe from streaming services and you’re worried about accessing content, well, now you don’t have to. Let me introduce Ocean Streamz, a streaming app that literally has oceans of contents that you can check out for free!
What Is Ocean Streamz?
Ocean Streamz is yet another streaming service with a massive content library of movies, TV shows, live TV, and anime. The developer claims Ocean Streamz is a modular search tool for content.
Similar to the Google search engine, Ocean Streamz crawls websites that host movie and TV shows and plays the videos hosted on those sites. The streaming service supports multiple platforms, including Android devices, Amazon Fire TV and FireStick, and NVIDIA SHIELD.
It doesn’t require signing up or subscribing. The cherry on the top is it doesn’t show any ads! Upon installation, you can access the content immediately. Since it is not officially available on the Amazon App Store, we need to sideload it through Downloader.
Is Ocean Streamz legal?
FireStickTricks.com does not verify the legality or security of the applications/services. Third-party apps/services pull streams for content that may or may not be copyrighted, and streaming copyrighted content is illegal and you could be fined or prosecuted. FireStickTricks.com explicitly discourages breaking the law in any form, but it can be easy to break the law while using third-party apps/services without intending to or even knowing you did. That’s why using a VPN is wise.
Attention, FireStick Users!
Governments and ISPs constantly monitor your online activity, and accessing copyrighted content on your Fire TV Stick could lead to serious trouble. Currently, your IP is visible to everyone. I strongly recommend getting the best FireStick VPN to mask your IP address and securely stream your favorites.
I personally use ExpressVPN, the fastest and most secure VPN available. Not only is it easy to install on any device, it comes with a risk-free 30-day money-back guarantee. Plus, if you're not 100% satisfied, you can always get a refund. ExpressVPN is currently also offering a whopping 3 extra months free on their annual plan!

5. You can now access the Ocean Streamz app from your home screen.
How to Use Ocean Streamz App on FireStick?
Once you launch Ocean Streamz, you will get a prompt from the app asking you to allow access to photos, media, and files on your device. Click Allow.
The app doesn’t have a dedicated home screen. By default, you will be taken to the movie section, where you can look for your preferred titles across various genres and start streaming them.
The movies are categorized neatly with a cover picture, name, and year of release. It is easy to navigate and understand the app, even for beginners.
The Ocean Streamz app allows you to filter movies based on the genre, year of release, and other specific information. To use the filter feature, select the three horizontal lines shaped like a funnel (as highlighted in the screenshot below), right next to the search button.
Now you get a small pop-up window with choices such as Genre, Year, Sort by, and Hide adult content. Fill in the boxes accordingly and click on Apply.
As I mentioned, to the left of the filter function is the search function, represented by the magnifying glass. The search function lets you search by the name of the movie, in case you’re having a hard time finding a specific movie you want.
To the right of the filter function is the favorite function, represented by a star icon.
You can access the Ocean Streamz settings by clicking on the three vertical dots in the top-right corner. However, there is not much to tweak or do, just App Language, Player Mouse toggle pointer Style (standard or glow), Check for updates, Clear Cache, and Clear Search History.
Click the hamburger icon on the top left and a new tab will emerge from the left side of the screen, showing you the main menu of the app. From there, you can navigate to other sections, like TV Shows, Anime, and Live TV. Below those options is your Watched history and your collection of Favorites.
Similar to the Movies section, the TV Shows page also hosts a range of content, from the recently released to age-old classics. I tried playing a few videos, and it honestly worked well. You can choose between 720p and 1080p resolution depending on the speed of your internet connection. Both resolutions worked smoothly for me, without any lagging or glitches.
Just like the Movies section, the TV Shows section allows you to filter the content based on certain criteria or search for the title of the content.
The layout of the media player changes depending on the streaming site you select. Notably, you can control the media player only through the mouse pointer. Moving the pointer with the FireStick remote may frustrate you at times.
Want to catch up on Anime? There is a dedicated section with tons of anime content.
Ready to cut the cable cord but still want to catch up on live sports and news? Ocean Streamz is your answer! Go to the Live TV category and you get multiple options:
- Watch Now
- My channels
- Import Channel
- Import File
Under the Watch Now category, you get IPTV Main, IPTV 3, and IPTV EXTRA.
IPTV Main hosts hundreds of live TV channels across various languages and countries. From Afghanistan to the UK, you can catch all the live TV channels you want, with no restrictions, no ads, and no subscriptions. Further, there are dedicated sections for sports, Bollywood movies, Hollywood movies, kids, web series, and wildlife & science.
By default, the channels will be arranged in rows and columns, but you can change it to a list-style view by clicking on the list-like icon as highlighted below.
The IPTV 3 section alone hosts around 760 channels from tons of countries, like the USA, Canada, the Netherlands, Mexico, Israel, Pakistan, Kurdistan, Iran, and the UAE. You can also change the view style in this section using the same list-like icon.
Then there is a clean channel list option (the paintbrush icon), which scans and removes all offline channels.
With IPTV EXTRA, you can check out other sets of channels under Movies, Auto, News, Music, Local, Entertainment, Culture, Business, Religious, Family, Documentary, Kids, Sports, Comedy, Science, and many more categories. Depending on the popularity of the section, you get from 20 channels to 397 channels.
Moreover, you can import channels (through M3U URLs) and files (from internal storage).
Then, back on the main menu for Ocean Streamz, there is Donate, Settings, Discord, Twitter, and Exit under the others section.
At present, OceanStreamz only accepts donations through Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Click the Discord or Twitter link if you want to follow the latest updates from the Ocean Streams developers through either of these channels.
Wrapping Up
Ocean Streamz APK for FireStick has everything you could look for in a streaming service.
I like the app because it:
- Is free of cost and ads
- Requires no sign-up or subscription
- Has an enormous collections of movies, TV shows, live TV channels, and anime
- Has a rich yet minimal interface
- Is easy to navigate and simple to understand
However, there is no support for debrid services integration, Trakt integration, or any external video player.
