First, I’ll show you how to use the official NBC app on the Amazon App Store to watch SNL. But note that to go this route, you must have a valid cable login in the US that provides the NBC network. 

After we install the app, I’ll walk you through its interface in detail. Let’s get started. 

Installing NBC App On FireStick

The NBC app is officially available in the Amazon App Store in the US. This means you can download it directly, unlike apps that aren’t in the app store. So, here’s how to do it:

1. Select the Find button located right next to the Home option.

2. Scroll down and click on the Search tile.

3. Type NBC and select NBC from the suggestions.

4. Now, you’ll see all the results.

5. Scroll to and select the NBC app.

6. Then, click on the Get or Download button.

7. Wait for a few seconds to let the Amazon App Store process your request.

8. Wait for the app to download and install.

Logging In to the NBC App on FireStick

So, you’ve installed the NBC app on your FireStick. Some content on the app is free to browse and watch. However, to watch previous SNL episodes and to live stream new episodes, you must have a valid NBC Universal account or a cable login provided by your TV provider.

So, first I’ll show you how to log in and access SNL. Then we’ll check out the rest of the app.

1. Let’s launch the app now. Press and hold the home button on your FireStick remote until a menu appears. Click on Apps.

2. Scroll down and select the NBC app to open it. Wait for the app to open and load its home screen content. It took me 4-5 seconds, but those with a slow internet connection may face increased loading time.

3. You’ll land on the home screen of the NBC app. At the top, you’ll see reels of popular shows and movies in your area. As I mentioned, we’ll check out the rest of the content later.

4. First, let’s get you signed in so you can watch SNL. To sign in, go to the Shows & Movies tab. 

5. Scroll over to the More tab. 

6. Then, click on My Profile. 

7. After that, you’ll be given two options to sign in, a NBCUniversal Profile or a TV Provider. Select the applicable option and follow the steps to log in to your NBC account.
