The screenshots taken in this guide are from Kodi 18. However, I have pointed out the differences from Kodi 17.6 wherever necessary.
Update: This addon is currently not working as the Hellhounds repository is down. You may explore other addons on our Best Kodi Addons list.
Galactus Kodi Addon Installation Guide
We will start with the installation process shortly. Before that, there is a small prerequisite we must take care of. Without it, it won’t be possible to install Galactus, or for that matter, any third-party Kodi addon. Follow the steps below:
#1. Run the Kodi app
#2. Go to the top-left of the home-screen and click the cog icon to open Kodi Settings
#3. Click System (if you use Kodi 17.6, click System settings)
#3. Select the item Add-ons in the menu on the left. Now go to the right part of the same window and check the status of Unknown Sources. If it is disabled, switch it ON
#4. This warning message says it could be risky to keep Unknown Sources enabled. You may ignore this message now as Galactus is a safe third-party addon. Go ahead and click Yes
Note: You may turn Unknown Sources off after installing Galactus
Let’s get started with the installation process
During the course of the installation, here is what you will do:
- Add the link to the source to Kodi
- Install the Hellhounds Repository from the source

Recheck the screen and make sure it looks like what you see in the following image
You have completed the first part and added the source to Kodi. We now install the Hellhounds repository

#8. Click the open-box in the upper-left of the screen (also known as Package installer)
#9. Open the option Install from zip file
#10. When this window opens, click cerb or the source name you provided earlier
#11. Open the zip file repository.hellhounds-2.1.1.zip
#12. Wait while the Hellhounds repository is installed. You will see the installation confirmation on the top-right

Metadata processing greatly slows down the navigation speed and it could get frustrating. You can fix it though. Here is how:
#1. Go to Kodi home-screen > Add-ons > Video add-ons and open Galactus
#2. Click Settings on the bottom of the main-screen of the addon
#3. On the Settings window, click Customization tab on the left and on the right disable the item ‘Enable Metadata’
Before you start streaming with Kodi Addons / Builds, I would like to warn you that everything you stream on Kodi is visible to your ISP and Government. This means, streaming copyrighted content (free movies, TV shows, Sports) might get you into legal trouble.
Kodi users are strongly advised to connect a VPN while streaming. A VPN for Kodi will bypass ISP throttling, Government Surveillance, and geo-restriction on popular Add-ons. I always connect ExpressVPN on all my streaming devices and I suggest you do the same.
ExpressVPN is the fastest and most secure VPN. It comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Meaning, you can use it freely for the first 30-days and if you are not satisfied with the performance (which is highly unlikely), you can ask for the full refund.
NOTE: We do not encourage the violation of the copyright laws. But, what if you end up streaming content from an illegitimate source unintentionally? It is not always easy to tell the difference between a legit and illegal source.
So, before you start streaming on Kodi, here's how to get VPN protection in 3 simple steps.
Step 1: Get the ExpressVPN subscription HERE.
Step 2: Click HERE to download and install the ExpressVPN app on your device.
Step 3: Click the Power icon to connect a VPN server. That's all. Your connection is now secure with the fastest and best VPN for Kodi.
How to Use Galactus Kodi Addon: A Quick Overview
Let’s take a quick look at Galactus addon on Kodi. As already stated in the previous section, you can access the addon by navigating to Kodi home-screen > Add-ons > Video Addons.
You may also run it from the Kodi home-screen after clicking Add-ons on the left and selecting it in the Video add-ons section on the right.
Galactus looks like your regular Kodi addon for on-demand content including movies and TV shows. As you can see in the following image, the main-screen has a pretty standard layout with straightforward categories.
You pick a category and you may find further subcategories. For example, Movies is further divided into TMDB Now Playing, Movie Years, Action Packed, etc. Click through the categories and subcategories to find the list of the video content.
Galactus scrapes multiple streaming links from various sources. You may find several free 1080p links too. However, when you sign in with premium Real-Debrid, you are sure to get better quality links and a rather buffer-free experience.
Galactus is a decent quality Kodi addon with lots of video content including your favorite flicks and TV episodes. It is a straightforward addon with a simple interface for easy navigation. For faster navigation, you will want to disable metadata processing. However, I have noticed that even when that’s done, navigation is still a bit slower as compared to other addons.
Nevertheless, one very important positive of Galactus Kodi addon is that it plays just about all the videos from its huge library. Some videos from the section for old movies may not work, but overall it streams fine. You will also find multiple full HD, 1080p streams too. It may not be the best addon, but surely worth a chance.
