In this step-by-step tutorial, I will show you how to install Placenta on Kodi 17.6 Krypton. Since Kodi’s interface is same on every device, the same installation guide will work on all devices including FireStick.
What is Placenta Kodi Addon
Placenta is one of the newer Kodi video add-ons that has seemingly forked out of the very popular Covenant Addon. But, Placenta is not just another addition to the list of hundreds of add-ons already available for streaming movies and TV shows. Of course, it does offer all the free content you stream from add-ons like Covenant and Exodus. That’s not all to this add-on though. There are a few things that set Placenta apart from the crowd. For the starters, it has a whole new category dedicated to content for Kids. It also has a comprehensive fitness guide, something which is largely unheard of and unseen with the other such add-ons.
Much like Covenant and Exodus, Placenta brings up multiple streams for a particular content from the most popular servers. Almost all the streams are online and active at any given time. You may also find some full-HD, 1080 sources too, but they aren’t as many as 720 HD. For more 1080 streams, you can use the popular, premium multihoster Real Debrid.
In this article, I will guide you through the step by step process to install Placenta on Kodi. Using and installing Placenta is incredibly easy. Keep reading!
Note – Streaming copyright content is illegal and could get you into trouble. These Add-ons should be used to stream movies / TV shows which are available in the public domain.
How to Install Placenta on Kodi 17.6
Before you start installing Placenta Addon, we need to allow “Unknown Sources” inside your Kodi app. It can be done by going to Settings > System Settings > Add-ons > Unknown Sources. Turn it On here and then come back to Kodi homepage. Now follow the steps below.
Step 1: Open “Settings” (the cog icon on the top left of your screen)
Step 2: Click File Manager and then “Add Source”
Step 3: Replace “None” with the follow Repo URL – http://legionworldtv.com/zips/
Step 4: In the name field, type freeworld and click OK.
Step 5: Go back to Kodi homepage and click on “Add-ons” Menu on the left sidebar.
Step 6: Click the box-shaped icon (Package installer)
Step 7: Select “Install from Zip File” and then navigate to freeworld which we added in Step 4.
Step 8: Now click repository.mrfreeworld.zip and wait for MrFreeWorld Repository to install.
Step 9: Once you get the notification MRFREEWORLD Add-on installed, proceed to the next step.
Step 10: On the same page, click “Install from Repository”
Step 11: Navigate to MRFREEWORLD Repo and open it.
Step 12: Now navigate to Video Add-ons > Placenta.
Step 13: Open Placenta Add-on and click “Install”
Step 14: Once Placenta Kodi Addon is installed, you will see the notification on the top right of your screen.
If you see a Dependency error, I suggest installing Covenant Addon first and then try installing Placenta again. It should work. There are other fixes for the problem, but installing Covenant before Placenta is one of the easiest and working solution.
That’s all. Go to Kodi homepage > Add-ons > Video Add-ons > Placenta. Explore the Add-on as per your preferences.
How to Fix Buffering on Placenta
Kodi is an extremely popular media platform and yet it cannot remain untouched by the buffering issues. If you are experiencing slow streaming or constant buffering problems while using Placenta, that’s mostly to do with the overall functionality of Kodi and little to do with the add-on itself. There is a fair chance you will face buffering issues even while using popular add-ons like Covenant and Exodus.
Thankfully, there are a few ways to fix this issue and have a more seamless, hassle-free Placenta experience. You can read our complete guide on fixing Kodi buffering issues.
You can also configure Real-Debrid with Kodi and take care of the buffering troubles to a great extent. Besides being a multihoster, Real Debrid is also an unrestricted downloader that lets you stream the content to the nearly full potential of your internet connection.
I would also highly recommend you to use Kodi with a VPN. Unbeknownst to you, your Internet Service Provider (ISP) may be throttling your internet speed. Internet throttling is not uncommon. The ISPs often limit the internet connection speed when there is too much online streaming activity from your connection. A VPN will mask all your activities from your ISP and the only thing they will be able to track is the amount of data being used from your IP address. Moreover, Government Surveillance is at its peak, and if you want to avoid any legal troubles related to online streaming, a Kodi VPN is your only protection. Fire TV users can also check out how to install VPN on FireStick.
Placenta Kodi Addon: Conclusion
Placenta may have forked out from Covenant add-on, which is certainly more popular at this time, but it has managed to make a name for itself in a very short span of time. With fitness guides and a special section dedicated to Kids, Placenta offers unique and fresh services. And, if you would like to go the usual way, it also has all the movies and TV shows you would stream from add-ons like Covenant or Exodus. Through this guide, I intended to make the Placenta installation process easy for you. I hope you found it useful.
