Part 1: Prepare FireStick for Sideloading

1. Click Find>Search and type Downloader in the search bar. Select Downloader in the suggested results. Click Get or Download to install the Downloader app on your FireStick.

2. Go to Settings>My Fire TV>Developer Options. You’ll see one of the options below, depending on your Fire TV model:

• Fire OS 7 and newer: Install Unknown Apps → select Downloader and enable it.
• Fire OS 6 and older: Apps from Unknown Sources → turn it On.

Your FireStick is all set to sideload the Sportzfy app.

Part 2: Install Sportzfy APK on FireStick

Follow these steps to install the Sportzfy app on FireStick:

1. Launch the Downloader app.

2. Click on the URL field.

3. Enter the downloader code 5016525 and click GO.

4. The following webpage will load. Scroll down and click one of the download buttons.

5. The Sportzfy APK file will begin downloading.

6. Click Install when prompted.

8. It’s best to get rid of the Sportzfy APK file to save storage space on your FireStick. Click Delete.

9. Click Delete again to confirm.

Sportzfy Review

Sportzfy is a lightweight app with a straightforward user interface. When you launch the app for the first time, it will take a few seconds to load, showing the app version.

Like most third-party APKs, Sportzfy has a few copycats. To protect you from installing the wrong APK, which may contain malicious files, the developer displays a welcome alert to warn you about these suspicious sites. Read the alert carefully to ensure you installed the right APK file. Click on the X sign to dismiss this alert message.

This is what the app’s home screen looks like. The main menu includes three tabs: Home, Categories, and Highlights.

The Home tab features recent, live, and upcoming sports events. You’ll see the number of events in each category indicated in brackets. Additionally, you can explore all available events or narrow your search by the provided categories. These are  Cricket, Football, Boxing, and Motorsports.

I tested the available live matches, and all of them played seamlessly. The playback began almost immediately in standard definition (SD) video quality. There’s an option to adjust the streaming quality in the built-in media player, with resolutions up to 1080p HD.

The Categories tab features popular sports TV channels from the USA, Europe, Arabic nations, Asia Pacific, and Africa. The performance in this area was concerning because most of the channels I tested didn’t work. Instead, I got a “Playback Failed” error.

However, for the channels that worked, the playback started after only a few seconds of loading. Although I experienced some buffering, it stopped as soon as I switched from HD to SD quality.

The Highlights section features the most notable sports events that have been aired recently.

There is another menu on the app’s left panel. It features sections like Playlists/IPTV, Contact Us, Update App, and Video Quality Settings.

One notable feature of the Sportzfy app is the built-in IPTV player. It lets you add an IPTV playlist to access your live TV channels and other content from an IPTV provider. To add a playlist, click on Playlists/IPTV and select the plus sign (+) icon. Click Add Playlist, type the playlist link in the provided field, and select Add.

Another feature I found useful on this app is the Video Quality Setting. If you encounter excessive buffering, you can enable the Force Low Video Quality option to prevent lagging.
