In this tutorial, I will show you how to install Voodoo addon on Kodi. The installation method used in this guide works on FireStick 4K, FireStick, Fire TV Cube, Android Mobiles/Tablets, Windows, Mac & Linux, and more.
As I write this guide, Voodoo is a fairly new Kodi addon. This addon is primarily meant for movies and TV shows. However, you will also find plenty of other content here. It has Ghost IPTV, the Live TV section that features dozens of satellite channels from the US, UK, and other countries. Voodoo Kodi addon also has a special section for Kids and adult anime.
The addon is working very well for now. It has a big content library, which is getting updated regularly with new videos. Voodoo Kodi addon also pulls a lot of quality streams, including several 1080p links. You may also integrate the addon with Real-Debrid and Trakt for a better experience. Voodoo is also the part of our list of top Kodi addons.
How to Install Voodoo Addon on Kodi
The installation procedure of Voodoo Kodi addon is divided into four easy to follow parts:
- Allow addons from Unknown Sources
- Add the source URL to Kodi
- Install the Golden Gun Repo
- Download the Voodoo Kodi addon from the repo
Each part is covered in the following steps:
#1. Open the Kodi app on your device. Click Settings on the home screen. You should be looking for the gear icon in the top-left
#2. Click System on the window that follows next (Kodi 17.6 users will click System settings)
#3. Select Add-ons on the left menu bar. Now drag the toggle that belongs to Unknown Sources (right side of the window) to right to switch this option ON
#4. Continue by clicking Yes when prompted
So, this is how you take care of the first part and allow the addons from the third-party, unknown sources. Voodoo is a tried and tested addon. It is 100% safe so have no worries.
#5. Now press the back button once to go back to the Settings menu or click the gear icon again on the Kodi home-screen.
Click File manager
#6. Click Add source next
#7. Go ahead and click <None> on the next window
#8. Now you need to type in the source URL on the window you see below. Here is the URL: https://goldengunrepo.github.io/install/me
Type the URL carefully and remember it is case sensitive.
Click OK when you are ready
#9. You will return to this window again. Select the field that says Enter a name for this media source and type voodoo or any name you wish this source to have. You will use this name later
Take a look and if your screen looks similar to what you see in the following image, click OK
You have successfully added the source URL and completed Part 2
#10. Click the back button repeatedly until you return to the Settings menu again
Now click Add-ons
Note: If you use Krypton 17.6, go to Kodi home-screen > Add-ons > Open Box icon (top-left)
#11. Choose Install from zip file
#12. Go ahead and click the source name you chose earlier. For instance, I named it voodoo so that’s what I am going to click on this window
#13. Click the zip file repository.gondengun-x.x.x.zip (where x.x.x represent the zip file version number)
Note: Always select the latest version number of the zip file if there are multiple files; like I am choosing 9.1.0
#14. Wait while the goldengun Add-on installed notification appears in the top-right corner of the screen
With this, you have installed the Golden Gun Repository. Let’s install the Voodoo Kodi addon now
#15. Choose Install from repository (while staying on the same window)
#16. Open goldengun
#17. Select Video add-ons
#18. Scroll down to the bottom and click Voodoo
#19. Press the Install button on the next window
#20. Click OK when Kodi prompts you about the additional addons that will be installed alongside Voodoo Kodi addon (this prompt will not appear if you use Kodi 17.6)
#21. Wait for the Voodoo addon to install. You will see the installation progress in percentage next to the addon. It may take a couple of minutes. Voodoo Add-on installed notification will appear once the addon is installed
You have successfully installed Voodoo addon on Kodi.
Before you start streaming with Kodi Addons / Builds, I would like to warn you that everything you stream on Kodi is visible to your ISP and Government. This means, streaming copyrighted content (free movies, TV shows, Sports) might get you into legal trouble.
Kodi users are strongly advised to connect a VPN while streaming. A VPN for Kodi will bypass ISP throttling, Government Surveillance, and geo-restriction on popular Add-ons. I always connect ExpressVPN on all my streaming devices and I suggest you do the same.
ExpressVPN is the fastest and most secure VPN. It comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Meaning, you can use it freely for the first 30-days and if you are not satisfied with the performance (which is highly unlikely), you can ask for the full refund.
NOTE: We do not encourage the violation of the copyright laws. But, what if you end up streaming content from an illegitimate source unintentionally? It is not always easy to tell the difference between a legit and illegal source.
So, before you start streaming on Kodi, here's how to get VPN protection in 3 simple steps.
Step 1: Get the ExpressVPN subscription HERE.
Step 2: Click HERE to download and install the ExpressVPN app on your device.
Step 3: Click the Power icon to connect a VPN server. That's all. Your connection is now secure with the fastest and best VPN for Kodi.
Overview of Voodoo Kodi Addon
Let me give you a quick rundown of this addon.
You will want to go to Add-ons > Video add-ons from the Kodi home-screen to access Voodoo addon for Kodi.
Voodoo addon offers the following primary categories on its main-screen:
- TV Shows
- Ghost IPTV
- All for Kids
- Anime Adult
- Movie-TV 24/7
Each category is further broken down into subcategories. The categories and subcategories are self-explanatory. It shouldn’t take too long for you to get started.
Voodoo looks like a straightforward addon for movies and shows, which also features a Live TV category. Even though its Live TV section streams many channels, it could be a little glitchy. That’s why I primarily use it to stream movies and episodes.
The addon is fetching lots of streams for you to choose from. You will also find several 1080p streams as well. I am talking about the free streams. However, if you are not satisfied with the quality of the streams, you can always subscribe to and sign-in with your Real-Debrid account. If you wish to sync the data, you can pair Voodoo Kodi addon with Trakt as well.
Voodoo has a lot to offer in terms of content. There are special sections for Kids as well. And, you can explore the adult Anime section as well. It may be a little slow during navigation, but playback is decently fast. Overall, I believe Voodoo is a good Kodi addon to have.
