In this guide, I will show you how to Install TVTap on FireStick. The installation instructions work on Amazon FireStick, FireStick 4K, Fire TV 2nd Generation, and Fire TV Cube.
TV Tap is a Live TV app with a solid collection of cable TV channels from the USA and around the world. There are a bunch of live TV apps out there, however, only a few can deliver consistency in performance and playback. TVTap FireStick app not only lines up a big list of channels, but it also makes sure they stream. The interface of this app could have been slightly better, but it is still a good app to have. It is also a part of our Best Apps for FireStick list. Give it a go!
Update: If you see a blank, white screen, close TV TAP and open it again. You may need to repeat it a few times for it to work.
Attention FireStick Users: Read before you continue
Governments and ISPs across the world monitor their users' online activities. If found streaming copyrighted content on your Fire TV Stick, you could get into serious trouble. Currently, your IP is visible to everyone. I strongly recommend you to get a good FireStick VPN and hide your identity so that your movie viewing experience doesn’t take a bad turn.
I use ExpressVPN which is the fastest and most secure VPN in the industry. It is very easy to install on any device including Amazon Fire TV Stick. Also, it comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you don't like their service, you can always ask for a refund. ExpressVPN also has a special deal where you can get 3 months free and save 49% on annual plan.

How to Access and Use TV Tap on FireStick
You must have noticed that when you install an app, it does not show up on the home screen of your FireStick. Here is how you can access any app and move it to the FireStick home-screen:
- Go to FireStick home-screen
- Long press the Home button until you see a popup window
- Click Apps
- Scroll down to the bottom and click TVTap icon
- If you want to move the TV Tap app to the home screen, select it and press the menu button on your remote. Click Move on the menu that appears in the bottom right corner. Drag and drop the app to one of the top three rows.
This is how the main screen of the TV Tap app looks like:
By default, the main screen of the app would display all the channels. If you want them sorted by the category, click the hamburger menu in the top-left corner. The app has the following categories:
- Entertainment
- Movies
- Music
- News
- Sports
- Documentary
- Kids
- Food
There are two other ways to browse or lookup for the channels. First, if you have something specific on your mind, click the Search option in the top-right corner and type the name of the channel.
The other option is to press the Play button on your remote once to filter the channels by country/region. Or, instead of pressing the play button, you can click the globe icon on the main screen. It is in the top-right, next to the lens icon. But, you will need the Mouse Toggle app for it.
Let’s take a quick look at the TVTap app Settings. Click the hamburger menu again and select Settings from the set of options. Here is how the Settings window looks like:
Following are the options:
1: Select Player: You can choose between the default GO Player or separately installed third-party video players such as MX Player.
2: Select Player View: Lets you choose between Small Player and Full Player mode. By default, the video takes only half of the screen and you must select the full-screen option. By choosing the Full Player option, videos will playback in the full-screen mode
3: Select Home Screen: All Channels is the default, but you can also choose Favorite Channels. You can mark any channel Favorite during playback
4: Select Language: Lets you choose your preferred language. As I write this guide, TV Tap FireStick app supports English, French and Italian languages.

Verdict
The most important aspect of any Live TV app is its ability to play the listed channels. The FireStick TV Tap app has a decent list of satellite channels and it plays nearly all of them. Just select the channel you want to watch and get started. The app is fast – both navigation wise and with playback.
The user interface doesn’t look very user-friendly though. The developers could have kept the channel icons a bit smaller to fit more channels on the home screen. The icons are too big for FireStick. Also, not all the channels offer HD playback. Hence, streaming quality may not always be necessarily desirable.
That said, I still say that TVTap is a good Live TV app. Almost all its channels work and stream well. Give it a try.
